Hello John
I have tested every existing meter and have found
Tramex Skipper to be outstanding for "osmosis". The thre
ranges detects and clarifies everyting from dew on the
surface to moisture 1 1/2" deep in the laminate. The Sovereign
is constructed for wood and does not react for more than a
few mm into polyester laminates. Most other meters,
even if they might meassure deep enough are too diffuse
for a proper survey.
Also you must understand, that a high moisture level is
not absolutely proof of something wrong. What to look for
are uneven readings with uneven borders. If you have
high readings with square straight borders they mostly
comes from tanks and other objects on the inside.
