Dear Mr Blomberg,
The osmosis-book is extremely interesting and full of
convincing things. Our own thoughts and bad experiences
are proved. Of course, some questions remain:
1 Do acids evaporate by the Hyab-method if they donīt
do it well by infrared as described in chapter 8 ?
2 For removing the residues and post-curing, the laminate
must be heated to 80-90°. In the Osmocure-internetpage
they describe the Hyab-instrument which has a hot spot
of 100-300°. Deeper in the laminate, there are only 60-80°
shown. Is this enough? Or could this move the residues
into the cooler area? Is it possible to treat a very thick
laminate avoiding this? Could residues be moved into cooler
areas like the inner mould which is laminated to the outer
one?
3 Is Kevlar in a hull a problem concerning Hyab?
Faithfully, G. and W. Richter
