An expert discovered that the foam in my ETAP 22 was wet.
He could not find evidence for osmosis. He told me that because of the water in the foam the strenghts of the hull was questionable.
He also suggested to have the hull peeled and treated to prevent watermovement through the hull into the foam.
My idea is that most of the water (if it is really there) comes into the foam by leakes in the deck railing, puttings, mastfoot etc. It that case peeling the hull would not help.
Is there some way to find out whether the hull is more or less water-permeable?
Is it realyy so that the double-scale hull is loosing its strenghts.
Thanks for answering.
