In the Netherlands we have a watersport magazine. They have bought an old boat with osmosis. The boat was peeled and dried for 19 months. Then the big companies (international/akzo-nobel/etc.) applied new epoxy coating. They did it under superb conditions and there was no restriction regarding cost.
After this treatment the boat was put in the water. Within 6 months the hull was as wet as before. So why should I let it dry out for months if epoxy can not keep the moist out?
