To do that is the best way to keep the hydrolysis process down until a
proper repair can be done. If the hull will not dry in open air,
a HYAB treatment is the only available technique so far that can
solve the problem permanently. Sailing the boat for some time without
gelcoat and with antifouling only will just make the repair more easy.
